

POSSIBLE PUNISHMENTS
Those found guilty of ragging may be awarded one or more of the following punishments, namely: (vide clause 9 of UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging dated 17th June, 2009)
🔴 Disciplinary Actions/Penalties
Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges
Temporary ban from attending classes or accessing academic facilities.
Withholding/withdrawing scholarship/fellowship and other benefits
Financial and academic incentives may be paused or permanently revoked.
Debarring from appearing in any test/examination or evaluation process
Prevented from participating in internal or external assessments.
Withholding of results
Exam or semester results may not be released until resolution.
Debarring from representing the Institution
Not allowed to participate in:
Regional/National/International events
Sports tournaments, cultural fests, or youth festivals.
Suspension/expulsion from the hostel
Temporarily or permanently removed from campus housing.
Cancellation of admission
Student’s enrollment in the institution is nullified.
Rustication
Suspension from the institution for 1 to 4 semesters (i.e., 6 months to 2 years).
Expulsion from the institution
Permanent removal and barred from admission to any other institution for a specified period.
Monetary fine
Fine of ₹25,000 may be imposed.
